Peanuts are king in Georgia, and Georgia’s the national commodity leader when it comes to peanut production, so it only makes sense that the Georgia Peanut Farm Show & Conference is a big deal. According to the event’s host, the Georgia Peanut Commission, they welcomed almost 2,000 growers to the January 21st event held on the UGA Tifton Campus.
An annual event 40 years in the making, the show & conference offered over 100 exhibits, Peanut Production Seminars from the University of Georgia, Industry Seed Seminars and a lively schedule of events for attendees. Seminar topics included peanut seed, market outlooks, peanut pests and diseases and more. The event also featured door prizes and an awards ceremony that included the presentation of the Outstanding Young Peanut Farmer Award to a deserving Georgia peanut farmer.
AgAmerica Lending was in attendance with a booth at the show & conference to offer our knowledge and expertise concerning farm ag loans. We’re always pleased to meet the exceptional growers and producers that make agriculture our country’s greatest asset, and this show was no exception. It’s our aim to help the farmers and ranchers of America to grow their agribusinesses with our farmland financing that offers low interest rates, long amortizations, and outstanding 10-year line of credit.
