The FNGLA Landscape Show offered a variety of events and opportunities for those in Florida’s nursery and landscaping industry.

The Southeast’s leading landscape show, horticulture conference, and trade event—the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association’s annual event, the FNGLA Landscape Show—was held this September 14-17 in Orlando, Florida. The event catered to a top Florida ag commodity: the nursery and landscape industry. It offered something for all sectors of the industry, including turf and sod growers.

The show itself incorporated educational sessions, The Knowledge College workshops, networking opportunities, and nearly five acres of booths, exhibits, and vendor displays offering the latest and greatest in trees, shrubs, and landscaping equipment. AgAmerica Lending’s Regional Account Manager, Chuck Cruse was on-hand at the FNGLA Landscape Show. Find out what’s happening at this year’s show below.

Educational Highlights of the FNGLA Landscape Show

One of the educational draws of the Show was the 18 hands-on workshops offered as part of The Knowledge College. The focus of each is to help attendees develop or sharpen skills that will keep them competitive in the industry. The workshops required an additional purchase, but each offered three hours or more with leaders in the nursery and landscaping industry on topics like irrigation, labor, pollinators, pruning, and other trends in the industry. A variety of free educational events were also going on at the show.

Other Show Attractions

The FNGLA Landscape Show offered an assortment of other things to see and do in addition to the educational workshops and the vendor exhibits. There were the Fresh From Florida’s Chef Presentations and The Landscape Show Cool Products Awards Presentation to showcase and honor those in the industry. There was a Golf Tournament on the 14th and a FNGLA Career Fair on the 16th. Additionally, networking events, such as “Tapped In: A Networking Event for Young Professionals,” were held throughout the show.
