If there’s one thing people in the ag industry can agree on, it’s that the rodeo is a good time for all.

The State Ranch Rodeo Finals are September 29th and 30th, and we are proud to be the sponsor for this important event. As a perennial favorite with people from all sectors of the ag industry, the rodeo is a great way to celebrate the heritage of the ranching way of life by exhibiting the necessary skills: riding, roping, and more. Catch a sneak peak of the event below, and then mark your calendars to attend!

Details of the Florida Ranch Rodeo

The Florida Ranch Rodeo State Finals are slated for the 29th and 30th of September, with each day’s final’s competitions starting at 7:00 p.m. Held by the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, the event itself will take place at the Silver Spurs Arena in the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.

In addition, there is also a free Cowboy Heritage Festival that will be going on to celebrate and teach about Florida’s long ranching history. The festival will feature living history exhibits where attendees can “meet” the people of Florida’s cowboy past and see how they lived. There will also be arts and crafts displays that are both interesting and educational.

The Ranch Rodeo Finals include events that highlight the skills and knowledge that would have been necessary to be successful on a working ranch operation—for both man and beast—and are still essential today. Such events include:

  • Bronc Riding
  • Calf Branding
  • Team Doctoring
  • Colt Riding
  • Double Mugging
  • Team Sorting
  • Wild Cow Milking

Additional events held at the event include:

  • The Working Florida Cowdog Competition
  • The Ranch Horse Competition
  • Whip-Popping Competition

There is also a steak dinner on Saturday, the 30th, starting at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $25 a head and tickets are limited, so call 407-846-6221 to reserve your seat!
