Chuck Cruse joined AgAmerica as Regional Account Manager in June 2016. He brings 18 years of experience in agriculture banking and finance.
Chuck is originally from Griffin, Georgia. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing from Valdosta State University. He chose to pursue his interest in agriculture, by further studying agriculture economics at the University of Georgia, where he received his Masters of Science degree.
His humble beginnings in agriculture started with Diamond R Fertilizer, Inc. There he gained experience with ag chemicals, fertilizer formulation, and dispatching. This became a stepping stone for further job growth in the citrus industry. In 1998, Chuck started his banking career, focusing on lending. He learned quickly that there was a need for agriculture knowledge in the banking sector and chose to focus in on this niche. His love and understanding of the grassroots people and their industries are the driving force behind his success in agriculture finance. Chuck’s career encompasses roles at small local banks, large corporate banks, and one of the largest institutional investment companies in the world.
Chuck has called Florida home since marrying his wife, Mary Anne in 1995. He was quickly introduced to the Florida Cattle industry by Mary Anne and her family. Both Chuck and his wife are passionate supporters of Florida agriculture. They love to spend time with their children on the family ranch.
Chuck’s leadership roles include serving as the current President and State Director for the St. Lucie County Cattlemen’s Association, the Allied Chairman for the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, and membership on the committee for the Florida Agricultural Financial Management Conference. His other industry affiliations include the Indian River Citrus League and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
