Joe Schwartz joined the AgAmerica team in January 2017 as Senior Operations Manager. He brings nearly 40 years of administrative, entrepreneurial and team leadership experience from his Fortune 100, small company and start-up experiences. Joe has enjoyed success in real estate acquisition, sales and development, large scale community building, asset management, real estate lending, instruction, authorship, licensing and training.
Prior to joining AgAmerica, Joe founded and managed a Tampa-based REIT focused on improving urban neighborhoods; one in-fill parcel at a time. He has managed a wide array of income properties and developed several historic adaptive reuse properties. Joe led the land acquisition effort on both banks of the Tampa-Hillsborough River in early 2002 that is now becoming one of our country’s most exciting residential, entertainment, office and retail venues. He also led the business operations for the Florida 2012 Summer Olympics bid effort. Joe also founded and operated two graphic arts businesses in Tampa and Princeton, NJ. He started his career in Supply Chain Management working for Cummins Engine Company, Cleveland Consulting Associates and Philips Electronics.
Joe received his B.A in Economics from Loyola University Maryland and his MBA from Emory University- Atlanta. He and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy active travel opportunities everywhere in the world. Joe kayaks whenever he can in his custom-built wooden boat.
