Business Analyst

AgAmerica is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of new system solutions including but not limited to gathering requirements, testing, training, and post deployment support. This individual will wear many hats and will be a key player in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to work with the business to understand their needs and set priorities for development efforts that align with company goals. This individual will report to the Strategic Analysis Manager and will work with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

This position requires critical thinking, collaboration, and understanding of current and future projects within our fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant demeaner, adapt with changing business needs, and have a solution-oriented mindset. The Business Analyst will be an essential asset to the entire company through strategic problem-solving and innovative thinking which will support business growth and enhance AgAmerica’s reputation.

Job Responsibilities

Understand the Business
  • Drive the design and implementation of application improvements in alignment with business processes
  • Document requirements with excellence to outline problems and what a potential solution must include
  • Analyze complex issues, solutions, ideas, and proposals to build a range of meaningful recommendations
Serve the Team
  • Be an advocate for stakeholders when it comes to making changes that they can absorb and adapt to
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with business partners to facilitate continuous improvement in the SDLC
  • Use multiple stakeholder views to develop solutions and provide recommendations
  • Create training materials that support new feature rollouts, train all users on new features, and assist in supporting the deployment, answering any questions or concerns the stakeholders may have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in business, communications, or similar field
  • 1-2 years of relevant business experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
  • Salesforce experience, preferred
  • Project Management experience, preferred

  • Ability to engage and work efficiently with both executive management and front-line AgAmericans
  • Interpersonal skills that allow for effective communication and seamless collaboration

  • Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize tasks independently
