Loan Servicing Manager

AgAmerica Lending is one of the largest, non-bank agricultural land lenders and loan servicers in the United States, offering a spectrum of loan programs that support long-term production and success for farmers, ranchers, and landowners. The successful Loan Servicing Manager must be extremely knowledgeable in loan accounting which will be used to manage and develop a staff that is expanding to accommodate a rapidly growing loan portfolio. 

This position is ideal for a frontline supervisor looking to expand their management skills while also playing an important role in the growth of AgAmerica. The Loan Servicing Manager will report to the Director of Loan Servicing and will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day servicing operations including account billing, payment processing, loan boarding, reconciliation activities, and timely, accurate data entry. The successful candidate will own these responsibilities and be able to assist in scaling critical processes to accommodate increasing loan volume.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage various processes and procedures including but not limited to:
    1. Invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer billing statements
    2. Payment posting process
    3. Loan onboarding and validation
    4. Document administration
    5. Servicing inbox to ensure timely response to information requests
    6. All client requests associated with LOC draws/payoffs/interest reserves and other loan payment issues
  • Ensure all servicing actions (modifications, deferrals, rate changes, etc.) are boarded in a timely manner once all approvals have been obtained
  • Coordinate with other departments to make sure data is being provided and received in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate with Manager of Servicing Systems and Training to ensure policies and procedures are accurate and staff is properly trained
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in a Business-related major (preferably Accounting or Finance)
  • Minimum five years of experience in a field related to loan accounting
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience
  • Commercial loan experience, preferred

  • The Loan Servicing Manager must have loan accounting experience including but not limited to the ability to:
    1. Read, interpret, and extract the financial terms from a Promissory Note.
    2. Use information extracted from the Promissory Note to calculate principal and interest components of a payment.
    3. Produce and update amortization schedules based on the terms of the Promissory Note and any subsequent modifications.
    4. Use these calculations to determine/verify how a payment should be posted.
    5. Reconcile payments posted to the related bank deposits on a daily and a monthly basis.
