AgAmerica is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst to join our fast-paced growing team. This individual will:

  • Assist the Director of Client Relations in managing the workload and pipeline for servicing actions, upcoming maturities, covenants, annual reviews, and other servicing and compliance tasks related to the existing agricultural loan portfolio as needed.
  • Complete credit packages in connection with servicing actions and annual reviews.
  • Participate in special projects aimed at continuous process improvement related to portfolio servicing and management.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong knowledge of commercial and/or agricultural lending and financial analysis. They will have a pleasant demeanor, adapt to changing business needs, and have a solution-oriented mindset. This position reports to the Director of Client Relations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively prioritize a large volume pipeline for servicing actions, covenant monitoring, and annual reviews.
  • Perform financial analysis and detailed report writing for servicing actions and annual reviews. Includes spreading of financial statements and tax returns, as well as collateral analysis.
  • Clearly communicate findings during underwriting process both orally and in writing.
  • Recognize “red flags” and escalate higher-risk transactions for further analysis.
  • Submit credit packages for internal approval and external approval, if necessary.
  • Assist in ongoing portfolio monitoring to ensure borrowers are compliant with all loan covenants and conditions and are properly risk rated. May include Salesforce updates and reporting.
  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Agriculture; preferred
  • 3-5 years of commercial or agricultural credit analysis experience, including tax return and financial statement analysis
  • Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Basic knowledge of real estate industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
