Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager will be a part of the Business Development team that is responsible for generating potential clients for AgAmerica through current relationships in the ag industry, AgAmerica marketing and events. This person must have a strong network among farmers, ranchers, and landowners and be able to assess their needs. This person must have high attention to detail with experience in sales and customer service. They must be a self-starter and a highly motivated problem solver that is comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position will report to the Director of Business Development.

To be considered for the position, this person will need to have extraordinary people skills that will allow them to proactively engage with potential clients while selling and promoting AgAmerica. This person will be able to turn a commonplace interaction into a memorable experience, create a genuine relationship, and provide unforgettable service. The person in this position will work with multiple departments and be able to effectively strategize to accommodate the needs of potential AgAmerica’s clients. This person will thrive in a high-growth company while embracing and driving change.

Job Details

  • Hire Date: ASAP
  • Position Type: Full-time, exempt
  • Compensation: competitive base salary and benefits package, transactional bonus structure
  • Additional Requirements: Frequent overnight travel

Job Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel within customer companies
  • Develop strong knowledge base of AgAmerica lending products
  • Alerting AgAmerica to opportunities for further sales within key clients
  • Letting clients know about other products the company offers that fits their needs
  • Coordinating meetings with clients to build relationships with existing accounts
  • Achieving goals and KPI’s as set by the Director of Business Development
  • Working closely with multiple departments to ensure client’s needs are fulfilled efficiently
  • Escalating and resolving areas of concern as raised by clients
  • Updating the CRM with changes within client’s account
  • Passing opportunities to the production team and following up on progress
  • Attending trade shows to create lead generation and connect with current clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the agriculture industry
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other Client Relationship Management System
  • 2+ years working in sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
