South Carolina has a booming agriculture industry, and the SC Agri-Biz and Farm Expo held this month in Florence, SC, is a premiere opportunity to get a feel for both the historical roots and the innovations for the future that make up South Carolina’s diverse ag industry. Held January 13th and 14th, it’s a prime opportunity for the people and organizations in and around the state’s ag industry to meet, network and examine the issues of the day.
Expo creators maintain that this expo is meant as an “umbrella” event, covering topics both big and small in South Carolina’s agriculture and agribusiness enterprises. Offering something for everyone, attendees found a lot packed in to the event’s two days. This Expo featured displays and demonstrations on farm products and equipment, educational presentations on topics like commodity spotlights and value-added enterprise, a Cattle Clinic, guest speakers and over 100 vendor/supplier booths, just to name a few. There were also a host of fun activities, from the “Taste of SC” and the SC Food Truck Rodeo, to the Commissioner’s Breakfast and prime musical guests.
The AgAmerica Lending team was present to speak with expo attendees and answer their ag loan questions. As the nation’s premier land lender, we’re happy to offer our farm lending expertise to agribusinesses big and small. We have a proven track record of helping farmers and ranchers from South Carolina and all over the country to develop and prosper with our farmland financing, which offers low interest rates, long amortizations, and outstanding 10-year line of credit.
