Jessica Slaughter joined AgAmerica Lending in March 2018, where she serves as a Closing Supervisor/Special Assets Manager.
Prior to AgAmerica Jessica worked as a Senior Special Asset Manager for Rabo AgriFinance and Farm Credit of Central Florida. She brings over 12 years of experience working with farmers and meeting their financing needs. During her tenure as a Special Asset Manager, her greatest joy was working closely with farmers to help them reach their financial goals.
Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida where she majored in Food and Resource Economics with a minor in Agricultural Law. She is also a graduate of Southeastern University where she earned her M.B.A.
Jessica was born and raised in Polk County. She grew up in the agriculture industry showing horses, cows, and pigs through 4-H and FFA. She is currently serving as President of the 4-H Foundation, is an active member of the Polk County Youth Fair Horse Committee, and is a Board Member of Bartow Dixie Youth Baseball. Jessica resides in Lakeland with her husband, Jay, and two sons, Lane and Liam.
