Jim Pruitt joined AgAmerica Lending in January 2019. As AgAmerica’s Chief Appraiser and a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Florida (RZ2543) and Georgia (355398), he is responsible for structuring and coordinating all processes associated with land appraisals. His responsibilities include hiring and coordinating appraisals, as well as ensuring efficiency and a high-quality appraisal process for clients.
Jim brings 27 years of appraisal experience—the last 25 focused on commercial and agricultural properties. Prior to AgAmerica, Jim served as the Commercial Department Manager at AREA Real Estate Appraisers, Inc. During his tenure, he was the department supervisor and appraised a variety of commercial properties throughout the state of Florida. He has extensive experience appraising agricultural properties including: citrus groves, blueberry farms, pastureland, timberland, nurseries, ranchland, and reclaimed phosphate and mining land. He is also a licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS), allowing Jim to operate drones for commercial use during his on-site appraisals.
Jim is a native Floridian, growing up on a small citrus grove in Winter Haven, Florida. He comes from three generations of real estate professionals in Florida and is the first appraiser in a family of brokers. His understanding of real estate and agricultural land stems from his family, but also his involvement in the agriculture community. He was a former 4-H leader and currently serves as an Associate Member for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
