Ryan McKnight is a Relationship Manager for AgAmerica Lending. He joined the team in January 2020 and has a B.A.A in Finance at New Mexico State University. He also attended agriculture lending school at Iowa State University and completed the Leadership Development Program through Farm Credit Council Services.
Ryan entered the agriculture and commercial lending industry as a loan officer for First National Bank in Creston for nearly five years. Prior to joining AgAmerica, Ryan was VP of Business Development at Farm Credit of New Mexico. He was with the company for over 12 years, working his way up from a loan officer in 2007. It was here he oversaw the Roswell credit and business development teams and developed and serviced the largest Farm Credit branch in the state. At the end of his tenure, Ryan directed all relationship building and account acquisition for an encompassing $2.2 billion in loans across five offices in the state.
Along with an extensive background in agriculture finance, Ryan has deep roots in agriculture. He grew up as a fourth-generation rancher on a cattle and sheep operation north of Roswell, New Mexico. As a previous producer himself, he considers the ranchers and farmers the backbone of the agriculture industry. His family history in agriculture combined with his professional expertise in credit analysis, loan structuring and business development gives him the ability to help farmers find the best financing options for their operation.
