William Currie

William Currie is a Relationship Manager for AgAmerica Lending, joining the team in June 2020. He graduated from Lousiana State University with a B.S. in economics. He is also a licensed real estate agent in the state of Louisiana.

Agriculture has been a part of William’s life for as long as he can remember. Both sides of his family have been involved in many facets of the agricultural business along the Mississippi Delta, dating back multiple generations. Through his upbringing, William has agricultural experience in land ownership, row crop farming, and input sales. He understands the hard work involved in the farming and the financial hurdles modern farmers are dealing with. He gives credit to these life experiences for helping shape the person he is today.

William brings more than five years of experience in the financial market. He started as a financial analyst at Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N), where he worked on financial modeling for their consulting clients.  Wanting to return to his agricultural roots, William took his financial expertise to the ag-retail company, Pinnacle Agriculture which was later absorbed by J.R. Simplot Company. During his time there, William was a credit manager and serviced Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, and Virginia and the neighboring Midwest area.

As a Relationship Manager for AgAmerica Lending, William works hand-in-hand with farmers in the Delta region to support the development and success of their operations. He takes the time to know each client and their business goals in order to create products to best fit their specific needs. He enjoys the opportunity to give back to an industry that means so much to him and is a firm supporter of the American Farmer.
