Farming for Generations: When Farming’s in Your Blood

American farmer, Sam Floyd begins the Farming for Generations series by opening up about heritage, hospitality, and what the land means to him and his family.

Meet the Floyd family – a multi-generational farming family located in the heart of Georgia. In this series, they opened up to the AgAmerica team to talk about heritage, hospitality, and what the land means to them. And it all starts with Sam Floyd, patriarch of the Floyd Farm and a true American farmer. From mules to combines, Sam has instilled the lessons he’s learned in farming throughout the years to his sons, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He knows that through the ups and downs, there’s one thing that makes it all worth it: each other.

At AgAmerica, we understand that farm land financing is just one part of your operation’s story. We respect the role we play in the American farmer’s life and do everything we can to set them up for success for generations to come. That’s why we set out to become trustworthy partners and friends with our borrowers, like the Floyd family.
