June is cattle convention time in Florida; and it’s a time to explore topics important to the cattle industry in Florida, delegate, network, and have a good time. Slated for June 19th to the 21st at the Omni Championsgate Resort in Orlando, the 2018 Florida Cattlemen’s Association’s Annual Convention promises a lot of information and a great deal of fun for cattle producers from all over the state. Cattle Convention Schedule
The Florida Cattlemen’s Association’s annual cattle industry convention is packed with events and activities, and each offers something of importance to those in the Florida cattle industry. Convention events share pertinent industry information, but also offer a chance for association members to take care of association business, to network with other cattle operators and industry partners, and to kick their heels up at one of the many fun events. Some of the highlights include:
Informational Events and Committee Meetings. These events involve the exchange of information and ideas concerning topics important to the Florida cattle industry.
- Agricultural Research & Education
- Congressional Animal Health & Inspection
- Environmental, Private Lands Management
FCA Business. These events address the business and workings of the association, or other groups.
- Opening General Session, including a Call to Order, an Invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance, etc.
- Speaker, Phil Bass, PhD
- Florida Grazing Lands Coalition Meeting
Networking. These events connect operators and those offering trades or services for operators.
- Allied Members’ Trade Show
- Various breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, such as the Cattlemen’s Reception and Supper
- Banquet in the ballroom requiring evening attire
Entertainment and Relaxation. These events are all about fun.
- Silent Auction
- Golf Tournament
- Dance in the ballroom
