AgAmerican Spotlight: Alecia Dumas
At AgAmerica, our people are deeply rooted in agriculture and united by one mission—to serve the American farmer. One AgAmerican who embodies this mission is Alecia Dumas, Inbound Relations Associate. In her role at AgAmerica, she speaks with farmers day in and day out to learn how we can support their goals for their operation. But even after hours, her passion and involvement in the farm community reflect the heart of our relationship-driven approach to agricultural finance.

A Calling to Support Farmers
For Alecia Dumas, the decision to pursue a career in agricultural financing wasn’t just about numbers or transactions. It was about giving back to the people who feed and fuel our nation.
“My career goals have always been to give back to the farmer. As I have grown in the world, I have seen larger corporations turn away from them in a time of need, especially in finance.”
Her connection to AgAmerica began long before she joined the team. Raised in a family where AgAmerica hats, cups, and license plates were common sights, she grew up seeing the company’s name woven into her community. It wasn’t until college, however, when a Sales course led her to shadow a family friend on AgAmerica’s outbound team, that she saw the business side of what she had long appreciated. That moment made her decision to begin her career with AgAmerica an easy one.
An Individual Approach to Every Farm
With a degree in Agricultural Science, Alecia brings a thoughtful, tailored approach to each conversation she has.
“Every operation is unique within itself. With my background, I’m able to take an individual approach and ask the right questions based on their specific needs.”
As an Inbound Relations Associate, Alecia is often the first voice inquiring borrowers hear when contacting AgAmerica. She sees her role as the starting point of a long-term partnership, guiding operators through products and processes to ensure AgAmerica is the right fit for their operation.
The part she loves most? The relief in farmers’ voices when they realize someone understands their challenges and has real solutions to offer.
“Being able to provide that sense of hope is the best part of what I do.”
Investing in the Next Generation
For Alecia, the impact of AgAmerica’s work goes beyond closing loans. She recognizes the part she plays in shaping the future of agriculture. That’s part of why she sees succession planning as one of the most pressing challenges farmers face today.
“Being able to provide straightforward communication and guidance to younger farmers on how to navigate succession planning with financing gives hope for the next generation.”
That commitment extends into her own community work. Alecia serves as Secretary of the Polk County Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) and as Partnerships and Event Coordinator for the Ducks Unlimited Bartow-Mulberry chapter. From hosting fundraising banquets that support farmland conservation to organizing scholarships for local students, she is deeply invested in ensuring agriculture continues to thrive.
“Conservation is important in keeping farmland safe from development. That’s why we work so hard to generate funds and give back to the community.”

Rooted in Community, Driven by Purpose
One of the highlights of being part of AgAmerica’s Inbound team in Alecia’s eyes has been the opportunities it’s created for her to connect with the farm community outside of the office. Each year, she and her team volunteer at events like the Polk County Agri-Fest or tour new agricultural innovations such as the Cups Project.

These moments, she says, reinforce the purpose behind her work to support the people who dedicate their lives in service of others.

Looking Ahead
When asked what excites her most about the future of agriculture, Alecia’s answer is clear—the growth and preservation of the American family farm.
“I’m excited to see family farms continue to pass down from generation to generation.”
She believes AgAmerica will continue to play a key role in that vision.
“AgAmerica gives back to the community of young farmers through sponsorships and event involvement, encouraging them to stay with their family operation and to continue growing.”
Alecia’s vision for agriculture is filled with hope.
“I believe we can continue to build the agricultural community across the U.S. Even as so many struggle, there’s still opportunity to preserve the life that once used to be the most prized.”
Learn More About the AgAmerica Team
AgAmerica was created with the long-term success of the American farmer in mind. In the financial sector, it’s all too common for a borrower’s relationship with their lender to be purely transactional—but that’s not how agriculture works. This is a community built from relationships, integrity, and grit.
AgAmerica follows the same path. Our team of financial experts is dedicated to the farmer’s success because we have skin in the game. Many of us were raised in agriculture, run farms ourselves, or have families in agriculture. We come from all different backgrounds, united by the understanding that our farmers are the backbone of our nation.
