AgAmerican Spotlight: Kiersten Sinn
Meet Senior Director of FinTech Lending at AgAmerica—Kiersten Sinn.
At AgAmerica, our mission is driven by the experts who pair deep financial knowledge with a genuine commitment to the agricultural community. This month’s AgAmerican Spotlight features Kiersten Sinn, Senior Director of FinTech Lending.
Keep reading to learn how her leadership, curiosity, and heart for Rural America are helping shape the future of AgAmerica and the rural communities we serve.
A Respect for Agriculture That Started Early
Kiersten’s path into ag finance began not on a family farm, but through early experiences that ignited a lasting respect for the farming community. Growing up outside Ithaca, New York, agriculture was woven into her environment. Wineries, cattle operations, dairies, and row crop farms were part of the landscape. But it wasn’t until an ag finance internship that her passion began to take root.
“Farmers were so willing to share their story. They welcomed me in and helped me understand what made their operations unique. That exposure shaped everything about how I approach this work.”
Later on in her career, she was introduced to AgAmerica by a former coworker. Once she learned more about AgAmerica’s focus on innovative lending solutions for farming families, Kiersten immediately saw an opportunity to make an impact.
“I knew AgAmerica was a place where I could grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to agriculture in a way I hadn’t been able to before.”
Leading a Team Built to Support the American Farmer
Today, Kiersten oversees AgAmerica’s fintech lending program—one of the most efficient and farmer-focused product offerings in the industry. She leads a talented group of opportunity owners, credit closers, and client relations professionals united by a shared mission to deliver fast, flexible financing to the farmers who need it most.
Her proudest achievement? Her role in the development of AgAmerica’s expedited loan approval platform.
“Providing farmers loan approvals within 24 to 48 hours has been a major accomplishment. Our accelerated loan program has allowed both new and experienced farmers to access working capital quickly and act on opportunities that can make or break a season.”
Efficiency may be the engine, but people are the heart. What Kiersten values most is the shared purpose of her team.
“Every single person at AgAmerica is committed to supporting the American farmer. That shows in the quality of our work and the way we approach every client relationship.”
Seeing Firsthand the Impact of Her Work
Among the many experiences over the years, a multi-day trip across North Carolina to visit a range of operations—from timberland to row crops, dairies, and poultry farms—is the one that made a lasting impression and continues to shape the way she works today.
“Seeing firsthand how our work impacts these families was incredibly meaningful. Every operation had a different story, but the common theme was resilience and pride. It reinforced why our work matters.”
Her commitment extends beyond lending. Kiersten is proud of AgAmerica’s community partnerships, including the company’s support of the North Carolina Dairy Producers Association. At last year’s annual luncheon, she engaged with producers on pressing issues—from regulatory changes to soil health—and heard from respected industry voices like dairy business consultant Matt Lange.
“Supporting events like these is part of who we are. It strengthens our connection to the communities we serve.”
A Vision for the Next Generation of Agriculture
When Kiersten reflects on the future of agriculture, she sees hope grounded in family and heritage.
“What excites me most is helping small family farms not just survive, but thrive—and transition successfully to the next generation. These operations are the backbone of rural America. Ensuring their legacy continues is deeply rewarding.”
She sees AgAmerica as a lifelong partner for these farmers, offering flexible solutions and a real understanding of the challenges they face.
“Our commitment is to walk alongside farmers, through the everyday and the extraordinary, so they can plan confidently for their future. Supporting small family farms isn’t just part of our mission; it’s what makes AgAmerica special.”
