Content Development Specialist

The Content Development Specialist will be responsible for composing content across Marketing and CEO Office departments. This position will handle the ideation and creation of compelling content for internal and external communications including, but not limited to website copy, white papers, blog posts, social media content, newsletters, and sales collateral. This position requires a high level of creativity, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights and detailed research to write value-added content. The successful candidate should also be detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to those with a strong writing portfolio, bachelor’s degree, and relevant work experience. This position will report to the Content Development Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create content marketing campaigns to drive leads and subscribers
  • Regularly produce various content, including email, social media posts, blogs, white papers, sales collateral, etc.
  • Actively manage the AgAmerica blog and newsletters (both digital and print)
  • Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content ideas
  • Analyze content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed
  • Ensure that all promotional and marketing materials meet the company’s brand identity strategy
  • Identify and resolve any issues with promotional content in a timely and professional manner

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising/PR, or Marketing (completed or in progress), preferred
  • Proficient across all social media platforms
  • Proficient in Outlook 365
  • Proficient in WordPress, preferred
  • Interested in writing across digital and print platforms (blog, website, social, etc.)
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand how audiences visualize and engage with content
  • Proficient in social management and content analytics software, preferred
