A Southeast citrus grove farmer transitions to row crop farmland.

The Challenge

An experienced citrus and row crop farmer in Florida separated from a long-term partnership to establish a new farm operation independently. He wanted to specialize in corn and silage but needed to first refinance four existing loans that were coming due.
The Solution
By considering all the factors involved, AgAmerica worked to creatively structure and secure the necessary financing to meet all of the borrower’s needs. Through this customized approach, the borrower was able to use the funds to transition 2,900 acres of citrus grove into row crop land and make the farm improvements he desired.
