AgAmerica loan enables the purchase of 780 acres of recreational land and conservation reserve pine.

The Challenge

This borrower is an avid hunter, fisherman, and passionate wildlife conservationist. He found a beautiful property for sale with diverse opportunities and untapped potential, including a cow-calf operation and an abandoned citrus grove just waiting for someone to tend to.
The Solution
AgAmerica Lending supported the borrower and his dream with a $1.82MM loan in order to purchase the 780-acre property. He had a comprehensive business plan for the new property that allowed the current lessee to continue managing their cow-calf operation. The abandoned citrus grove was replaced with longleaf pine trees, thereby creating additional revenue through the Conservation Reserve Program. The remaining acres were utilized for recreational purposes.
