AgAmerican Spotlight: Mallory Hunt

Meet Mallory Hunt, a Fintech Lending Associate at AgAmerica who combines her personal background in agriculture and financial expertise to help producers build stronger financial foundations.

One of the greatest strengths of AgAmerica is the people behind our work. Many members of our team bring more than financial knowledge to the table. They bring firsthand experience, personal connections, and a deep understanding of the agricultural industry.

We know finance, but we also know agriculture. That specialized perspective allows our team to better understand the challenges producers face and develop financing solutions designed around their unique operations and long-term goals.

In our AgAmerican Spotlight series, we highlight the individuals who make relationship-driven lending possible. These are the people working behind the scenes to support farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners across the country with customized financial solutions built for lasting success.

One such individual is Mallory Hunt, AgAmerica’s Fintech Lending Associate. Coming from a seventh-generation cattle family, here’s how Mallory integrates her personal background into her role at AgAmerica.

Mallory’s Personal and Educational Background in Agriculture

For Mallory, agriculture has always been more than an industry. It is a way of life.

As the seventh generation of a Kansas cattle farming family, Mallory carries a deep-rooted and personal appreciation for the dedication, resilience, and stewardship required to maintain a successful operation. Her experiences on the family farm at an early age shaped her understanding of the challenges producers face and drive her passion to help other operations succeed.

Before joining AgAmerica, Mallory worked as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for several years. During this time, she gained valuable insight into the many factors that influence farm success. Through those experiences, she saw firsthand that while many producers were highly skilled at managing their operations, they often lacked access to the financial planning resources needed to support long-term growth.

Recognizing an opportunity to better serve farmers, Mallory returned to school and earned her Master of Agribusiness degree in 2023. With this achievement, she is able to combine her personal understanding of production agriculture with the financial expertise needed to help producers make more informed decisions about their operations.

For Mallory, a strong financial partnership isn’t just about the numbers. It provides producers with the confidence and support they need to protect what they love.

“Farmers spend countless hours in the fields, caring for their herds, and raising their families, and having a simple, effective financial structure paired with trusted partners gives them the freedom to focus on what they do best and create lasting memories on the farm.”

Bringing a Producer’s Perspective to Agricultural Lending

Because of her blend of personal and professional expertise in agriculture, Mallory understands that every operation comes with its own set of unique challenges that impact the long-term success of the business.

Her approach in her role at AgAmerica is to lead with empathy and respect for the America Farmer. She knows agriculture requires patience, adaptability, and careful planning, and she believes successful financial partnerships should reflect those same values.

Because no two operations are alike, Mallory values a relationship-driven approach to lending. Taking the time to understand each producer’s goals, challenges, and opportunities is essential to creating financial solutions that truly fit their needs.

“Agriculture is an incredibly rewarding industry, but it comes with constant highs and lows that demand resilience, knowledge, and thoughtful planning. Because of that, having a trusted team of agricultural lenders who genuinely support both you and your operation is essential to navigating those challenges and building for future generations.”

Helping Farmers Build Long-Term Financial Success

As a Fintech Lending Associate, Mallory collaborates with borrowers and the AgAmerica team to analyze financial information, evaluate opportunities, and ensure we’re are creating customized lending solutions that support each client’s specific goals. She understands that agricultural finance shouldn’t just be about closing loans. It is about helping producers create a structure that supports the long-term health and sustainability of their operation.

What Mallory enjoys most about her role is the opportunity to solve complex financial challenges and work alongside a team dedicated to finding creative solutions for producers.

“One of the clearest ways I’ve seen AgAmerica positively impact on the farming community is by helping borrowers transition out of unfavorable or unsustainable debt into more stable, long-term financing solutions.”

Supporting the Next Generation of American Agriculture

As agriculture continues to evolve, Mallory is encouraged by the next generation of producers who are embracing innovation while staying connected to the traditions that have shaped the industry.

She believes advancements in farm technology, sustainability, and operational efficiency will continue creating new opportunities for farmers and ranchers. At the same time, she sees how important it will be for these farmers to have a trusted financial partner who believes in their operation and understands what’s required for it to succeed.

“AgAmerica can play a key role by staying a trusted, relationship-driven partner that understands operations, communicates clearly, and adapts alongside the industry to support long-term success.”

Through a combination of agricultural expertise, financial knowledge, and a personal touch, Mallory believes AgAmerica will continue to play a pivotal role in supporting producers as they navigate an ever-changing industry.
