Underwriter

AgAmerica Lending LLC is currently seeking an entry-level Underwriter to provide analytical support within its agricultural lending department. Primary responsibilities include the analysis of mid-size agribusinesses and Scorecard transactions. Focus shall be on development of proper loan structure based on understanding of profitability, cash flow, capital levels, and industry dynamics. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with servicing requests and portfolio management projects, as requested.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment

Senior Underwriter

AgAmerica Lending LLC is currently seeking a Senior Underwriter to provide analytical support within its agricultural lending department. Primary responsibilities include the analysis of large, complex agribusinesses. Focus shall be on development of proper loan structure based on understanding of profitability, cash flow, capital levels, and industry dynamics. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with servicing requests and portfolio management projects, as requested.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
  • MBA is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous commercial credit analysis experience. Agricultural credit analysis experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment

Loan Officer

AgAmerica Lending LLC is seeking a Loan Officer. This is a sales-oriented position that requires the candidate to possess exceptional time management skills and excel in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the candidate will focus on the origination and servicing of mortgage loans in the agricultural sector. Candidate will generate and cultivate leads through both warm and cold calling. Primary duties include:
  • Business development and asset loan origination
  • Relationship management
  • Collaboration with the Credit team for Credit Underwriting
  • Coordination with Loan Closing team for loan closings
  • Coordination of Loan servicing/reporting in conjunction with the Servicing department
  • Attending networking events, trade shows, and field days
  • Using Salesforce to track progress on new or existing customers
  • Reporting weekly sales goals and objectives to head office
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or related field
  • 2 year sales experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate across company departments
  • Skilled in negotiation and relationship development
  • Capable of independently managing priorities and communicating them to HQ

Operations Intern

AgAmerica Lending LLC is seeking a finance or accounting intern to work with the Operations and Credit departments. Primary responsibilities include profiling borrowers with regard to credit risk (utilizing borrower financial statements) and commodities; data analysis and extrapolation of trends or groupings; and assisting as needed with other operational/portfolio management projects.

Position Details:
  • Minimum of 12 hours per week availability
  • Compensation determined by qualifications
  • Preferred area of study in Finance/Accounting
  • Education Level: Junior or above

Underwriting Intern

AgAmerica Lending LLC is seeking an intern to work within the underwriting department providing analytical support to the Chief Credit Officer and Senior Underwriters. Primary responsibilities include preparing financial analysis with a focus on historical and pro forma income, capital structure, and cash flow; assisting with preparation of final loan recommendation; and performance of other projects related to portfolio management and loan covenant compliance, as requested.

Position Details:

  • Preferred area of study in Finance/Accounting
  • Education Level: Junior or above
